So Cool! Brown’s Run Trail!
April 15, 2008
My boyfriend, Cody, and I have discovered a new trail! It is called Brown’s Run, and it is perfect for running. It is only 1.25 mile but who says I cannot run it a couple of times? This is so great!
C25K; Still going strong!

I haven’t wrote for about a week. I have been busy, especially being that yesterday started the first day of the last 9 weeks of school. Senior next year, baby! =]
Anyway, Cody and me were going to run together today, but he was running late for work, so I am just going to go at it alone, like always. At least I get to have the time to think all things over and to clear my mind. Did I mention that today is day 1 of week 3 for my C25k? Yeah! I haven’t missed a day of it, and I am super excited for my run today!
Julius bought some Gold’s Gym lifting bars and weights, and he said Cody, me, and Jess are free to use them. I am going to use them during my toning exercises today, instead of my older, lighter ones.
Check in later.
Ooh, by the way, I ended up eating two slices of that pizza last week…. Shame on me… =[
I am a good girl with lots of bad habits.

Julius brought home pizza from work today. His managers at KFC traded chicken for pizza with the dominoes manager, and it worked well. Problem is that there was so much pizza left over that Julius brought us home two boxes worth. Not only that, he brought home two orders of wings, and cheese bread. That was so kind of him and bless his heart, but oh my! Damn, that stuff is not good to be eating while I am trying my best to get into the habit of running consistently.
Does anyone have any advice when they are faced with a situation like this? I think I might just have ONE slice. I mean, it is my favorite. (Sausage and banana peppers)

Even When They Can’t.”
Whoo-Hoo! Today is my last day of the couch to 5k running plan week 1. Tomorrow I want to start week 2. I am soo excited.
I ran at the tennis court again, and it was a beautiful day. I used sunblock and my new running socks. I felt good running, and everything was good. I cannot wait to run tomorrow with my new times!
It is weird, the first day that I ran outside, which was last week by the way, I was so insecure. I felt out of place, almost like I wasn’t allowed to run outside. I do not know what made me so self-conscious. Today I ran in front of a grandma and her two grandsons who were playing baseball in the soccer field, and I kept pushing myself. I then rode my bike back home, and I actually looked most people in the eye and said “hello”. Who would have thought that running might just be the thing to cure my shyness?
sono le giorno uno
April 1, 2008
This is my first actual day of blogging, and I’m not too sure what to write about, so I am just going to do a bit of free writing about my running so far.
I see a big difference between when I run indoors on the treadmill and when I run outdoors. It seems when I am on the treadmill, I feel like I am dying, and I am not motivated whatsoever. I was doing that since January of this year (2008) on and off. Running is hard to stick to when you have no motivation or encouragement behind you. On the other hand, when I run outside, yes it is harder, but I enjoy it more. The day was cloudy and not sunny, but oh well, I love being outside anyway.
Thursday the 27th of August is the first day that I gathered enough courage to actually run outdoors in the local park. I am doing the couch to 5k running plan, so I am not the best at running right now, and I have a hard time letting others see that. Since too many people were at the park for me to run in front of them, I went up to the soccer field and ran there. The ground was a bit soggy, but anything was worth running in private outside.
I ran yesterday in the park again, but this time I ran in the tennis court since it was unlocked. Baseball practice was going on in the baseball field, so whenever I heard the coaches yell, I pretended the encouragement was for me. That was the second day of the couch to 5k running plan.
I have yet to run today. I was going to, but I went to take a nap. Once I found out that I was unable to nap, I ate, so now I must wait for Julius to get home from his haircut so we can go up and bring some food home, and then I’ll go for my run. Instead of going to the park, however, I may just stay and run up and down my block. My mother does not want me wondering off in the dark, and I cannot blame her.
I’ll update once I get the chance.
